Product Details

304L stainless steel is a super low-carbon austenitic stainless steel, corresponding to the Chinese standard designation 022Cr19Ni10 (unified numerical code S30403), with a carbon content of ≤ 0.03%, belonging to a general-purpose corrosion-resistant material, widely used in fields such as chemical engineering, food processing, and architectural decoration. Properties and applications of stainless steel

As a low-C 304 steel, in its normal state, its corrosion resistance is similar to that of 304 steel, but after welding or stress relief, its anti-gland corrosion ability is excellent. Without heat treatment, it can also maintain good corrosion resistance, generally used below 400 (non-magnetic, operating temperature -196 degrees Celsius to 800 degrees Celsius)

It is applied to internal and external outdoor machines, building materials, heat-resistant parts, and parts with difficult heat treatment in industries requiring high anti-gland corrosion performance such as chemicals, coal, and petroleum.

Its chemical composition contains 18.0-20.0% chromium and 8.0-12.0% nickel, and through low-carbon design, the anti-gland corrosion ability after welding is enhanced. This material has a yield strength of ≥ 205 MPa, tensile strength of ≥ 520 MPa, elongation of ≥ 40%, and combines good formability and low-temperature toughness. During processing, a multi-fire forming process is adopted to control the deformation amount, avoiding grain coarsening caused by high-temperature treatment. As a low-carbon modified version of 304 stainless steel, it is suitable for manufacturing welding components and has application advantages in corrosive environments such as heat exchangers and ship equipment.

The development of 304L stainless steel has made the corrosion resistance, appearance, processing performance, and strength of 304L stainless steel far exceed other materials. Moreover, many surface treatment methods of stainless steel can achieve a rich variety of colors and shapes, which has made a significant contribution to the development of stainless steel.
